Explore the exciting world of architecture and design in this creative camp. Students will learn about the design process while testing their ideas through art, building activities, and architectural challenges. Developed in collaboration with local Twin Cities designers, the class introduces key concepts of structure, form, and space through hands-on projects and model building. Students will also use the 3D design tool TinkerCAD to plan and design their own architectural creations, experimenting with digital design and problem solving. From imaginative sketches to computer models, students will bring their ideas to life while exploring the foundations of architecture.

Learn the basics of game design while creating your own 3D worlds in Roblox Studio! This class introduces students to the tools and possibilities Roblox offers for designing interactive games. They’ll explore how to build environments, add characters, and bring their ideas to life with simple coding. By the end of camp, each student will have created original projects that showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills. Bring a USB on the last day to save your games.

This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming, and teamwork in an environment full of galactic fun! Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Working in pairs, students will create Star Wars and space-inspired robots. Models include AT-ST Biped, spinning TIE fighter, cannons, and other out-of-this-world models. Students will be working in pairs.

Turn Minecraft from a game into a visual learning tool! Collaborate to create your own themed adventure maps. This class strongly emphasizes creativity, exploration, and cooperative learning experiences. While immersed in Minecraft's fun and creative world, students will learn about programming and game design concepts. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Students should have basic reading skills and be comfortable using a computer. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. Minecraft is a Mojang Studios trademark.
