3D Printing: Pokémon-Inspired
3D Printing: Pokémon-Inspired
Become a Pokémon master of 3D design by creating your very own Pokémon characters with TinkerCAD. Students will explore CAD modeling, experiment with shapes and features, and bring their digital creatures to life with 3D printers. Along the way, they will also experiment with SimLab and design Pokémon-themed video games, combining creativity with hands-on technology. The class introduces the basics of CAD modeling and design software while encouraging imagination and exploration. Each student will have two small printed designs sent home. Extreme Robotics: Battlebots
Get ready for a week of building, coding, and competing! This camp combines the creativity of the LEGO building system with the excitement of robotics. Students will team up in groups of two to three to design and build their own LEGO robots, bring them to life with block-based programming, and take on daily challenges that inspire teamwork and problem solving. Students will build learning models to understand key robotics concepts, then customize and modify their design to take on new challenges. From fun mini-missions to final competitions, including target-hitting games and an action-packed robot sumo battle, every day is packed with hands-on learning and excitement. Perfect for kids who love to build, code, and compete!

One of the most popular video games in history, Minecraft, opens a world of endless possibilities limited only by imagination. In this camp, students will go beyond regular gameplay to “hack” Minecraft by learning how to modify and enhance their worlds. They’ll use popular game mods, experiment with building challenges, and unlock hidden features that change the way the game is played. Students will also create and edit custom skins and textures, personalizing their worlds to match their style. Along the way, they’ll explore how commands, mods, and creative tools work together to expand Minecraft’s potential. This camp uses the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Power up your creativity with a week of Nintendo-inspired STEAM fun! Jump into a week of Nintendo-themed fun where technology and creativity collide! Students will begin by creating stop-motion movies starring Mario and friends, learning how to plan, animate, and edit their own short films. As the week continues, they’ll shift into coding, building Nintendo-inspired games such as maze challenges, coin-catching adventures, and drawing with Pikachu. Each day introduces a new hands-on project that blends coding, animation, and storytelling while encouraging creativity and problem-solving. Basic reading skills are recommended.
