Tech Academy partners with Blake School to offer hands-on summer camps in LEGO® Robotics, coding (Python, JavaScript, Scratch), Minecraft, Roblox, 3D printing, engineering, and video production for students grades K-8.

![]() | Build & Defend: Strategy Game Coding Get ready to take charge in this action-packed coding camp! Students will design and program their own Tower Defense–style game while learning the fundamentals of programming. Using Construct 3, a visual coding platform, they’ll explore how game frameworks work and practice coding concepts such as variables, events, conditions, and loops. Campers will create paths, position defensive towers, and program waves of enemies to challenge their defenses. Along the way, they will experiment with mechanics, adjust difficulty, and bring their games to life. ![]() | 3D Printing: D&D Discover the world of 3D design and printing with TinkerCAD in this creative, hands-on camp. Students will develop 3D modeling skills while designing a custom pendant, unique dice, and other Dungeons & Dragons–inspired projects. When not actively designing, campers can join themed challenges and games that extend their creativity while waiting for prints to finish. Each participant will have a pendant or keychain and a die printed and sent home at the end of camp. All printing and material fees are included. In this hands-on camp, you will explore Python coding, ethical hacking, and cybersecurity through interactive games and code-cracking challenges. Build your coding skills by creating mini-projects and programming your own cyber defense game. Experiment with secret codes, test password strength, and train on specialty websites designed for safe practice. Compete in Capture-the-Flag contests that challenge your logic, teamwork, and creativity. Coding beginners and more experienced students will love this class. This fun class is our staff and students' favorite codling class. Java is a text-based language, so students should have good keyboarding and basic computer skills. This camp is specially designed for kids eager to dive into the exciting world of YouTube content creation. Students will learn simple tricks used by pro filmmakers to plan and record videos such as “Top 10” or “Favorite List” projects. They’ll practice editing by adding transitions, soundtracks, and effects to make their videos shine. At the end, students will share their finished video. Students should have basic reading skills and be comfortable using a computer.
