Get ready for a week of building, coding, and competing! This camp combines the creativity of the LEGO building system with the excitement of robotics. Students will team up in groups of two to three to design and build their own LEGO robots, bring them to life with block-based programming, and take on daily challenges that inspire teamwork and problem solving. Students will build learning models to understand key robotics concepts, then customize and modify their design to take on new challenges. From fun mini-missions to final competitions, including target-hitting games and an action-packed robot sumo battle, every day is packed with hands-on learning and excitement. Each day, campers will use different survival skills, crafting tools, mining for materials, brewing potions, enchanting gear, and preparing for battle. Along the way, they’ll practice defeating mobs, complete quests, and discover the secrets of the Nether Then, jump into world-building with ready-made worlds and landscapes to set the stage. This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming, and teamwork in an environment full of galactic fun! Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Working in pairs, students will create Star Wars and space-inspired robots. Models include AT-ST Biped, spinning TIE fighter, cannons, and other out-of-this-world models. YouTube is the top destination for online videos, and now you can learn how to create your own Let’s Play! In this camp, students will capture a PC gaming session and add a voice-over to bring their gameplay to life. In the first half of camp, they’ll learn tricks filmmakers use for better shots, practice capturing gameplay, and add sound effects. In the second half, students will edit short videos, adding transitions and a soundtrack. Bring a USB drive (at least 8 GB) on the last day to save your project.

Create your own stop-motion animation using characters from the Harry Potter and Fantastical Beasts series. Students will build and design magical-themed scenes and props. Making it move is the name of this game! Students will love seeing their creations in motion using IR remote control Lego Mindstorm Components. Learn more about science, engineering, and technology while having FUN through hands-on projects. Students will explore robotic concepts in small teams by working through step-by-step projects and example programs. They will then have the opportunity to modify the builds and programs.

Get ready to take charge in this action-packed coding camp! Students will design and program their own Tower Defense–style game while learning the fundamentals of programming. Using Construct 3, a visual coding platform, they’ll explore how game frameworks work and practice coding concepts such as variables, events, conditions, and loops.
