3D Printing: Star Wars-Themed
3D Printing: Star Wars-Themed
Students will design 3D objects using TinkerCAD and prepare them for printing with the slicing program Cura. Projects include creating a droid and other Star Wars–inspired models while learning the essentials of 3D design and digital fabrication. Students will also take part in themed challenges and create space-inspired video games while waiting for their models to print. Each participant will have two small 3D designs printed and sent home at the end of camp. Printing and material fees are included. Bring a USB drive on the last day. Robotic Builders: Mighty Machines
Yes, we CAN learn about robotics! With the LEGO™ WeDo Robotics System, young children can build and program their robotic creations. Young imaginations soar! The LEGO® Education WeDo™ Robotics Builder allows students to explore different robotic themes. Students working in teams will work with simple machines, program models they design and create, measure time and distance, write, and much more!

Extreme Robotics: Robo-Beasts & Monster Machines
Extreme Robotics: Robo-Beasts & Monster Machines
Students will begin by building robotic beasts and monster machines such as a Robo-Dog, Mega-Gorilla, Insectoid Bot, and the Scorpion Warrior. Once their robots are built, they’ll dive into programming to make them move, attack or even think on their own. This hands-on camp is both fun and educational, teaching the foundations of building, coding, and problem solving through robotics. Working in teams, students will then be challenged to modify and re-engineer their robots to become better, stronger, and faster. Every day brings new opportunities to create, experiment, and compete.

3D Printing: Harry Potter-Inspired
Bring a bit of magic to life by creating your own pendant and wand with TinkerCAD while developing real 3D design skills. Students will learn how to model objects in three dimensions, experiment with shapes and structures, and apply their creativity to digital design projects. Along the way, they will take part in Harry Potter–inspired challenges and create themed video games while waiting for their 3D prints to finish. Robotic Builders: Space & Star Wars
This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming, and teamwork in an environment full of galactic fun! Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Working in pairs, students will create Star Wars and space-inspired robots. Models include AT-ST Biped, spinning TIE fighter, cannons, and other out-of-this-world models. Students will be working in pairs.

Video Game Design: Platformer
Get hands-on experience with designing your own video game from scratch! Students will create their own platform game, using Construct 3, a visual coding platform that teaches students the basics and structure of programming. Learn to develop engaging gameplay. Experiment with different power-ups, enemies, and boss battles to make your game exciting and fun. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day.

Escape the Labyrinth: VR Game Development
Design, develop, and create 3D virtual reality environments and characters to build your own VR games. Students will start with smaller projects to learn the basics of coding, design, and interaction. In the final two days, they will construct a full labyrinth complete with challenges, characters, and immersive exploration. This camp is ideal for students passionate about technology and creativity. VR projects can be viewed on most mobile devices and VR systems such as Oculus. Bring a USB on the last day to save your games.

Minecraft has been a sandbox-building game dominating the world of video gaming for the past several years. Collaborate with fellow students to construct a city! Each day includes themed building challenges and dissussion on improving construction techniques. Beginners and experienced Minecrafters alike will love this action-packed camp! Get ready to power up your Minecraft world! In this exciting camp, students will create their very own super-tools, design fun or fearsome custom mobs, and invent tasty new foods to keep their characters energized. Using MCreator for Minecraft: Java Edition, students will learn the basics of coding logic while building and testing their mods. Each day combines step-by-step projects with creative time to explore new ideas. Bring your imagination, teamwork, and a USB drive. Students should be comfortable using a computer. Extreme Robotics: RC Builders
Making it move is the name of this game! Students will love seeing their creations in motion using IR remote control Lego Mindstorm Components. Learn more about science, engineering, and technology while having FUN through hands-on projects. Students will explore robotic concepts in small teams by working through step-by-step projects and example programs. They will then have the opportunity to modify the builds and programs.

Learn the basics of game design while creating your own 3D worlds in Roblox Studio! This class introduces students to the tools and possibilities Roblox offers for designing interactive games. They’ll explore how to build environments, add characters, and bring their ideas to life with simple coding. Extreme Robo-Games: Battlebot Olympics
Extreme Robo-Games: Battlebot Olympics
Students will team up in groups of two to three to explore the LEGO® Mindstorms robotic system and specialized Technic™ engineering components. Each day, they will design and program robots to take on exciting Olympic-style challenges that test strength, speed, and creativity. Throughout the camp, students will be encouraged to re-engineer their creations, making them stronger, faster, and more innovative. Possible projects include a shot put launcher, flipping gymnast, and sumo-bot, along with other high-energy challenges that inspire teamwork and problem solving.
