Collaborate with fellow students to construct a city! Each day includes themed building challenges and dissussion on improving construction techniques. Working in pairs, students will build models and discuss the engineering science behind each creation. This engaging, hands-on class shows how engineering can be both silly and educational at the same time. Students will then be challenged to improve and customize their designs for added creativity. Students will also step into the world of digital media by producing their own superhero stop-motion short film, complete with props and sets they design themselves. In this camp, students will team up in our multiplayer survival world to explore, gather resources, and take on epic challenges. Each day, campers will use different survival skills, crafting tools, mining for materials, brewing potions, enchanting gear, and preparing for battle. Along the way, they’ll practice defeating mobs, complete quests, and discover the secrets of the Nether Then, jump into world-building with ready-made worlds and landscapes to set the stage. Add unique powers, creative challenges, cutscenes and epic boss encounters to craft a game full of excitement and imagination. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Students will explore 3D modeling skills while designing custom mobs and Minecraft-inspired creations. Along the way, they will experiment with shapes, structures, and design elements that bring their ideas to life. While prints are finishing, campers can take part in Minecraft-themed challenges and even create video games inspired by the block-building universe. ![]() | Video Production for YouTube Learn how to create your own YouTube content in this hands-on camp! Students will practice shooting video, capturing sound, and developing an online presence. In the first half of camp, they’ll discover techniques filmmakers use for better shots, lighting, and audio, and practice editing with film software through a class project. In the second half, students will work together on an unboxing or product review video. They’ll edit their project, add transitions, special effects, and a soundtrack, then share their finished video. Students should have basic reading skills.
