Minecraft has been a sandbox-building game dominating the world of video gaming for the past several years. Collaborate with fellow students to construct a city! Each day includes themed building challenges and dissussion on improving construction techniques. Beginners and experienced Minecrafters alike will love this action-packed camp! Unleash your imagination as you journey through the wide-ranging world of LEGO® building. Working in pairs, students will build models and discuss the engineering science behind each creation. This engaging, hands-on class shows how engineering can be both silly and educational at the same time. Students will then be challenged to improve and customize their designs for added creativity. Possible projects include the never-look-back machine, skittletops, do-nothing machine, coat hanger daredevil, trapdoor cable car, parachute machine, rubber band racer, and other wild contraptions.

Unleash your inner hero in this creative STEAM adventure! In this camp, students will bring superheroes to life through storytelling, design, and beginner-friendly coding. Using Scratch, they will create simple interactive games where heroes move, jump, and overcome challenges, while learning foundational coding concepts. Students will also step into the world of digital media by producing their own superhero stop-motion short film, complete with props and sets they design themselves. Embark on the ultimate Minecraft adventure! In this camp, students will team up in our multiplayer survival world to explore, gather resources, and take on epic challenges. Each day, campers will use different survival skills, crafting tools, mining for materials, brewing potions, enchanting gear, and preparing for battle. Along the way, they’ll practice defeating mobs, complete quests, and discover the secrets of the Nether Then, jump into world-building with ready-made worlds and landscapes to set the stage. Add unique powers, creative challenges, cutscenes and epic boss encounters to craft a game full of excitement and imagination. We will be using the PC/Java edition of Minecraft. Learn the ins and outs of 3D design and 3D printing with TinkerCAD in this creative camp. Students will explore 3D modeling skills while designing custom mobs and Minecraft-inspired creations. Along the way, they will experiment with shapes, structures, and design elements that bring their ideas to life. While prints are finishing, campers can take part in Minecraft-themed challenges and even create video games inspired by the block-building universe. Each student will have two small printed designs sent home. Printing and material fees are included. Bring a USB drive on the last day. Learn how to create your own YouTube content in this hands-on camp! Students will practice shooting video, capturing sound, and developing an online presence. In the first half of camp, they’ll discover techniques filmmakers use for better shots, lighting, and audio, and practice editing with film software through a class project. In the second half, students will work together on an unboxing or product review video. They’ll edit their project, add transitions, special effects, and a soundtrack, then share their finished video. Students should have basic reading skills. Bring a USB drive (at least 8 GB) on the last day.

Discover the world of 3D design and printing with TinkerCAD in this creative, hands-on camp. Students will develop 3D modeling skills while designing a custom pendant, unique dice, and other Dungeons & Dragons–inspired projects. When not actively designing, campers can join themed challenges and games that extend their creativity while waiting for prints to finish. Each participant will have a pendant or keychain and a die printed and sent home at the end of camp. All printing and material fees are included. Students should bring a USB drive on the final day.

This course builds knowledge of simple machines, engineering, programming, and teamwork in an environment full of galactic fun! Designed by the experts at MIT, this unique system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Working in pairs, students will create Star Wars and space-inspired robots. Models include AT-ST Biped, spinning TIE fighter, cannons, and other out-of-this-world models. Students will be working in pairs.

Step into the world of Pokémon with a week of exciting STEAM adventures! Students will design and build their own coding projects, from interactive games to creative animations, while also making Pokémon-themed stop-motion films. They’ll construct sets and props, tackle fun STEAM challenges, and bring their ideas to life through coding and creativity. Along the way, students strengthen problem-solving and teamwork skills.
