Make science come to life! This class is powered by the LEGO® WeDo systems and software. Students working in pairs will explore the exciting world of robotics! Learn programming skills, engineering concepts, and the names of robot components. Students will build LEGO® models featuring working motors, tilt sensors, motion detectors, and a LEGO® USB Robotics Hub. Please bring a drink and snack daily. Students will be working in pairs.

Design, develop, and create 3D virtual reality environments and characters to build your own VR games. Students will start with smaller projects to learn the basics of coding, design, and interaction. In the final two days, they will construct a full labyrinth complete with challenges, characters, and immersive exploration. This camp is ideal for students passionate about technology and creativity. VR projects can be viewed on most mobile devices and VR systems such as Oculus. Yes, we CAN learn about robotics! With the LEGO™ WeDo Robotics System, young children can build and program their robotic creations. Young imaginations soar! The LEGO® Education WeDo™ Robotics Builder allows students to explore different robotic themes. Students working in teams will work with simple machines, program models they design and create, measure time and distance, write, and much more!

Discover the world of 3D design and printing with TinkerCAD in this creative, hands-on camp. Students will develop 3D modeling skills while designing a custom pendant, unique dice, and other Dungeons & Dragons–inspired projects. When not actively designing, campers can join themed challenges and games that extend their creativity while waiting for prints to finish. Each participant will have a pendant or keychain and a die printed and sent home at the end of camp. All printing and material fees are included. Students should bring a USB drive on the final day.

As the week continues, they’ll shift into coding, building Nintendo-inspired games such as maze challenges, coin-catching adventures, and drawing with Pikachu. Hack into the code of classic games! Students will learn Java coding skills while modifying games such as Asteroids, Tetris, Snake, and more! Coding beginners and more experienced students will love this class. This fun class is our staff and students' favorite codling class. Students will team up in groups of two to three to explore the LEGO® Mindstorms robotic system and specialized Technic™ engineering components. Each day, they will design and program robots to take on exciting Olympic-style challenges that test strength, speed, and creativity. Throughout the camp, students will be encouraged to re-engineer their creations, making them stronger, faster, and more innovative. Possible projects include a shot put launcher, flipping gymnast, and sumo-bot, along with other high-energy challenges that inspire teamwork and problem solving.

Making it move is the name of this game! Students will love seeing their creations in motion using IR remote control Lego Mindstorm Components. Learn more about science, engineering, and technology while having FUN through hands-on projects. Students will explore robotic concepts in small teams by working through step-by-step projects and example programs. They will then have the opportunity to modify the builds and programs.

In this camp, students will capture a PC gaming session and add a voice-over to bring their gameplay to life. In the first half of camp, they’ll learn tricks filmmakers use for better shots, practice capturing gameplay, and add sound effects.
